Why we link to GitHub instead of hosting the file
MemcardRex.com does not host, mirror or modify MemcardRex. The developer's GitHub page always has the genuine files and their notes. We do not publish our own virus scan results or SHA256 hashes, because we cannot vouch for files we do not control.
Security verification
- Check that the link starts with
github.com/ShendoXT/memcardrex. - Scan the downloaded archive with your own antivirus before extracting it.
- If you need a checksum, compute one locally (for example
certutil -hashfile file.zip SHA256on Windows) and keep it with your copy. - Install the .NET 8 runtime only from Microsoft's website.
Mirror downloads
There are no official mirrors. Because the repository is archived, it is sensible to keep your own copy of the release archive in a backup folder once you have downloaded and checked it.
Before you install
- Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit, with the .NET 8 Desktop Runtime.
- A backup of every memory card file you plan to edit.
- For physical cards: a DexDrive, MemCARDuino, PS1CardLink setup, Unirom setup or the PS3 Memory Card Adaptor.
